Ken Shayna, CPA  A proud University of Michigan Graduate in practice since 1989, Ken is an expert in tax planning, a specialist in computer accounting systems, and thoroughly dedicated to helping clients reach their financial objectives. Ralph Gurganus, CPA  A CPA since 1972, Ralph packs an impressive resume from the fiduciary realm with expertise in most financial matters and particular experience in construction, nursing care, and general transactional planning. A proud graduate of his home state's University of Alabama, Ralph's enthusiasm and drive come from his dedication to a client's success. "Everybody needs a coach," he's fond of saying. "We help navigate the compliance and taxation labyrinth to give clients a competitive edge." Ralph is not afraid to mix metaphors, just as he's unafraid to pursue a variety of strategies for business success. David Hoppe, CPA, Manager  David takes the field for Team Shayna with a wealth of high-value skills.  With intensive experience in public accounting and taxation (including Big-4, S-corp, C-corp, LLC, partnership, and individual matters), business and tax planning, high net worth individuals, multi-state compliance, commuter taxation, and auditing, he’s got the tools to expertly address issues and put together strategies no matter what your situation.  Want to save money for your business or add benefit features (401k’s, flex spending plans, etc.) formerly available only to bigger firms?  David is at your service.

Kimberly Adkins, Office Manager  One of the brightest stars in the office firmament, Kim's brilliant performance involves task management for the company.  When not forcing the staff through the gauntlet of everyday's To-Do list, she handles the billing and haranguing duties of Accounts Receivable and delivers much-needed assistance to Head Honcho, Ken.  Kim's "take-charge" attitude has served her well in the Administrative Assistant field since 1989, and clients appreciate her commitment to their well being and satisfaction. Born and raised in the Great Lake State, she's a loving wife, mother of two, and proud Grandma to two boys and a girl, as well as die-hard fan of the Wolverines & Red Wings.  Weather permitting, Kim & Husband enjoy getting lost on their Harley Sportster 883.

Sheila Coy, Administrative Assistant-Front Office  The first cheerful face you see when walking in, Sheila is new to our team but certainly not new to the demanding discipline that is accounting.  She draws from deep wells of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, payroll, and is always prepared for expediting the task at hand and getting the job done.  A musician as well as full time student, Sheila aims to fulfill each day's most critical mission: to take care of your needs and leave you smiling.

Nancy Gibson, Professional Bookkeeper  Nancy has over 27 years of experience and her never-ending depth of knowledge serves Shayna clients extremely well. From bookkeeping to payroll, she knows the ledgers forward and back, and she understands the value of your time. Nancy operates out of her virtual office in sunny Florida, but keeps in close contact via phone, facsimile, and, most often, the Internet.

Patricia Zacharias, Bookkeeper  Hitting full stride on the Shayna team, Patricia adroitly assists clients with all of their bookeeping needs.  Born and raised in Michigan, she's the proud mother of a little girl who enjoys playing golf and socializing with her friends.

Viki Shayna, Bookkeeper  Given her growing expertise in the Benefits Specialist realm, a “Bookkeeper” title does not do her justice.  In addition to carefully minding the books, Viki is charged with keeping clients up-to-date regarding Employee Benefits (SIMPLEs, 401Ks, Sec 125 follow ups, SEPs and other pension plans), as well as gathering data on Federal Health Care Credits for tax returns and expediting this information to our CPAs.  Making sure your annual paperwork complies with every-changing regulations, Viki is one of our most valuable assets. 

David B. Fordyce, JD  Bolstered by a business degree from the University of Michigan, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California, and  27 years of combined legal and financial management experience, David has the training and expertise to lead your business through the legal/financial maze.  He’ll capably handle matters of company formation, corporate record keeping, business contracts, real estate leases and purchases, asset protection, business succession, estate planning, and employment.  In areas of taxation, administrative issues, employment, contracts, and unfair business practices, David is adept at dispute resolution, from demand and settlement negotiations to trial and appeal.  As your business attorney, David teams with Shayna's accounting and tax professionals to serve, protect, and build your business, with your success as our primary goal.
